Hyundai Motor Group and Nvidia announce AI manufacturing unit plan

Hyundai Motor Group and Nvidia will use 50,000 Blackwell GPUs for autonomous autos, good factories and robotics

Hyundai Motor Group and Nvidia have introduced plans to construct an AI manufacturing unit utilizing 50,000 Nvidia Blackwell graphics processing items (GPUs) for autonomous car growth, good factories and robotics. The collaboration contains an roughly US$3bn funding in Korea’s bodily AI sector.

The Korean authorities signed a memorandum of understanding with Hyundai Motor Group and Nvidia on 31 October to assist the initiative. Plans embody establishing Hyundai Motor Group’s Bodily AI Utility Centre, an Nvidia AI Expertise Centre and bodily AI information centres in Korea.

The AI manufacturing unit will assist mannequin coaching, validation and deployment for in-vehicle AI, autonomous driving, manufacturing unit automation and robotics. Hyundai Motor Group will use Nvidia Omniverse and Cosmos platforms to develop manufacturing unit digital twins and validate autonomous car software program.
