Joby to promote electrical air taxis to Kazakhstan operator

Joby Aviation will provide electrical vertical takeoff and touchdown plane to Alatau Advance Air Group operator

Joby Aviation signed a letter of intent to promote electrical vertical takeoff and touchdown (eVTOL) plane and providers valued at as much as US$250m to Alatau Advance Air Group (AAAG), an organization establishing air taxi providers in Kazakhstan. The settlement consists of pre-delivery funds and is supported by a memorandum of understanding between Joby and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Synthetic Intelligence and Digital Improvement.

The ministry has dedicated to creating the regulatory surroundings and infrastructure required for air taxi operations. AAAG is creating Alatau Metropolis, a 340 sq. mile challenge that may function an early launch marketplace for air taxis in Central Asia.

The events will collaborate on sourcing important supplies, together with titanium and uncommon earth metals, from Kazakhstan for manufacturing of Joby’s plane. Kazakhstan is positioning itself as a regional hub for superior air mobility.

In an announcement, Zhaslan Madiyev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Synthetic Intelligence and Digital Improvement of Kazakhstan, stated: “The acquisition of electrical eVTOL plane will mark an vital milestone within the improvement of good cities. This initiative will contribute to the expansion of Alatau Metropolis as a singular hub of superior applied sciences of the long run.”
