Archer Aviation performed flight checks of its Midnight plane within the UAE, demonstrating vertical takeoff, transition and wingborne flight.
Archer Aviation has accomplished flight checks of its Midnight electrical vertical takeoff and touchdown (eVTOL) plane within the United Arab Emirates. The checks demonstrated vertical takeoff, transition, and wingborne flight within the UAE’s working setting and over desert areas, the corporate introduced on 13 November.
The flight marketing campaign was performed in coordination with the UAE’s Basic Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), Built-in Transport Centre, and Abu Dhabi Aviation. Archer has begun receiving funds underneath its settlement with Abu Dhabi Aviation associated to its Launch Version programme.
The checks had been performed at Al Ain Airport in Abu Dhabi. Archer mentioned the marketing campaign demonstrated Midnight’s efficiency and reliability underneath UAE-specific working and environmental situations.

Abu Dhabi has introduced plans to develop an emirate-wide air taxi community of over 10 vertiport websites underneath the supervision of the Built-in Transport Centre. Archer goals to start industrial operations with Midnight in Abu Dhabi.
