Archer Aviation has introduced it’s partnering with a number of US cities to submit a number of functions for preliminary electrical vertical takeoff and touchdown (eVTOL) air taxi operations, as a part of the White Home’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP).
This system is a public-private initiative led by the US Division of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration, meant to help the mixing of air taxis into the US nationwide airspace. The DOT’s rollout of its Superior Air Mobility (AAM) Nationwide Technique offers a strategic framework for incorporating eVTOLs into the airspace system.
Archer says its functions to the eIPP are structured as public-private partnerships with cities in California, Texas, Florida, Georgia and New York.
